July 10, 2024

Verge Cowork Is a collaborative and community-centric co-working space centered in Collegeville / Trappe.

Jason Rising, the pastor at Verge Church in Trappe, was looking for ways he could use the church’s resources to invest in the community—with the focus on serving the specific needs of Collegeville and Trappe residents.

A high percentage of our residents have professional and technical jobs. So it wasn’t surprising that when Jason reviewed the CEDC’s 2019 Resident Survey, he noticed that residents had requested that we attract a local business incubator / co-working space.

With more residents than ever now working from home, and with many now starting up their own businesses, it made sense to Jason to focus his efforts on creating a co-working space for our area community. “We opened Verge Cowork in October, 2023. We hope that area residents will find it to be a place that adds significant value for our neighbors, both personally and professionally,”

The Co-Working space will be in the Verge Church building, but have no focus on religion.

Corporate Office Amenities You Won’t Find at Home

“Verge Cowork offers a space for not just working, but for community building”, explains Jason. “The spaces are curated with productivity in mind. Members enjoy different workstations, premium coffee, high-speed internet, meeting rooms, phone booths, and other tech options that you likely won’t have at home.

As a small business, rather than use your home address, your mail can be sent to a PO box at the Verge Cowork facility. Members use a digital door pass system controlled through an app on their phones to access the building and their mail 24/7. Verge can also accommodate visits from their colleagues and clients.

In addition to high-speed internet, members have use of Verge Cowork’s corporate-sized Xerox copier and related office equipment, such as a fax, cutting board, staplers, etc.

They offer drop-in childcare for up to four hours while the parents work. “Our auxiliary staff, who are all trained, certified and have all their background checks and clearances, can currently take up to 12 children.”

And beginning this August, Verge Cowork will begin scheduling Growth Lunches—free lunches with a business training workshop. The first one will be focused on how to handle and lead people through change.

Fulfilling Your Business Needs

Verge Cowork can accommodate up to 100 people in their large “Commons” space. Already they’ve worked with California Closets, who were remodeling their building and needed space for their sales meeting. And Champion Force, a cheerleading training school, contacted them to rent space this fall for 12 weeks of classes. Verge’s pricing is flexible, and they worked with the group on a price that they could afford.

Although Verge Cowork is just now starting to grow their business, their aspiration is to offer not only the physical amenities of an office, but to develop into a significant networking hub that offers valuable career-guiding advice and lifelong friendships.

“We want to help entrepreneurs and workers do what they need to do to reach that goal. Our slogan for Verge Cowork is ‘A Place to Thrive.’ This is more about us working with the community than trying to launch a business to make a profit,” says Jason. “We are passionate about helping start-ups. When someone is starting a business, I like to ask, ‘What do you need?’ We can help.”

Memberships and Pricing

Verge Cowork

Verge Cowork has a number of different types of memberships. Mailbox / Virtual Memberships and Short-Term Coworking Memberships both start at only $50/month, and include meeting room options for members and guests.

The memberships are all month-to-month commitments and are structured to be approachable for the Trappe and Collegeville area community. All members have access to all common spaces, privacy booth, kitchen, unlimited coffee, dry erase boards, and Vibe smart whiteboards.
