Engage Personal Training, Collegeville
ENGAGE Personal Training opened April 17th in the Marketplace at Collegeville (Redner’s) Shopping Center. Engage specializes in small group training with the goal of supporting long lasting fitness results.
Owner and Trainer Joe Kinee graduated over 10 years ago from West Chester University with a BS in Exercise Science. His experience includes several college internships and work with sports teams at Widener and Drexel Universities in addition to working as a Fitness Instructor. Joe became interested in small group training about six years ago. In addition to his Collegeville Engage Fitness business, he is also affiliated with two other Engage businesses: one in Malvern and one in Delaware.
You might wonder, “What exactly is small group training?” As an alternative to individual personal training, the benefits of small group training are that you enjoy a fun spirit of friendship and sense of community while still receiving individual attention. At Engage, there are a maximum of seven people in each session. Small group training can also be more cost-effective than personal training while providing faster results.
Joe’s Collegeville business has grown quickly to over 100 clients. He attributes that growth to his creation of a space where people feel comfortable working out. Most of his clients are over the age of 40. They may be restarting an exercise program after stopping, or they may be individuals who are brand new to working out. The fitness techniques practiced at Engage Personal Training focus on low impact strength training (no burpees/squat thrusts!) which everyone can do. The results include weight loss and improved overall health. Joe explains that “Consistency is the key to long term health and fitness, and Engage can help you to achieve that.”
Joe chose Collegeville as the site for his business because the town is walkable, easy to access, and a quick commute from his Phoenixville home. He also noticed that there were so many other great businesses in the area. He feels that area residents like to shop in Collegeville and that the residents support our local businesses.
Engage offers small group personal training sessions six days a week:
- Monday – Friday at 5:30, 6:30, 7:30, 9:00 and 10:00 pm
- Monday – Thursday at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 pm.
- Saturdays at 9:00 and 10:00 am.
