Aka GOODNESS
More than just an açaí spot, Goodness Bowls, aka GOODNESS, offers smoothies, cold -pressed juices, warm bowls (oatmeal, quinoa, brown rice), salads, wraps, toasts and tartines, as well as coffees, teas and more. Founded by women entrepreneurs, Goodness Bowls prides itself not only on its delicious food, but on creating a fun-loving, friendly environment for both its customers and employees.
Their made-to-order selections use locally sourced, fresh ingredients with a focus on healthy eating and happy living. Corinne Persichetti, Goodness Bowls co-founder, says that the key goal of the business is to provide tasty, nutritious meals that make their customers feel good, both inside and out in a fast-casual approach. Goodness Bowls also offers a wide array of caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages such as coffee, tea, lattes, espressos and cappuccinos.
Healthy Options for Adults and Picky Kids
Owner Nicole Cohen describes Goodness Bowls as “a healthy eats café that offers made-to-order foods and beverages that appeal to everyone.” She adds, “we use locally-sourced, fresh ingredients that are kind to the body in an environment that is good for the soul.”

“We are constantly tweaking our recipes to boost their health impact. We might add collagen for healthy hair and skin, or turmeric for its ant-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. Our café will tailor each dish to our customer’s preferences and health needs. For example, we can boost protein in a dish by adding several tablespoons of hemp seeds.”
“Our warm bowls can be made using quinoa and brown rice. Our toasts can be made with gluten free bread. We do not waste an opportunity to add vegetables to the mix, such as a big handful of spinach to a delicious smoothie.”
Nicole’s team can also help parents tailor their kids’ orders so that even the fussiest eaters leave full. Nicole is a mom of two daughters, aged 2 and 4. “With kids, good nutrition is more important to me than ever. It can be stressful worrying about what your kids are eating or not eating. Parents will find that Goodness Bowls is a great place to stop with the kids for a well-rounded meal anytime– a snack after church or before soccer practice.”
Dietary Restrictions and Considerations

“We are also well versed in understanding our customers’ food allergies, along with celiac and other dietary restrictions. We take allergies extremely seriously. Our food can be made gluten- or nut free and we offer dairy and non-dairy options. Most of our bowls can be altered depending on the allergy.’
“Cold-pressed, made-in-house juices are also a great way to consume nutrients you may be missing in your diet. And, since our juices only contain fresh produce, roots, and herbs, their sugar content is lower and nutritional benefits are higher than other fruit juices. Our cold-pressed method does not expose ingredients to heat, and thereby preserves more of their vitamins, minerals, and fiber,” Nicole adds.
Nicole’s Journey

Nicole’s first introduction to Goodness Bowls was working at their Avalon, NJ store during the summer of 2022. She was impressed with the way the store was run, the quality and delicious taste of their food, and their emphasis on science-backed healthy ingredients. At the end of the summer in 2023 she signed an agreement to legally franchise her own Goodness Bowls store in PA.
Nicole chose Collegeville for her business based on its dynamic, health-conscious community. “I want my store to be a place for people to gather. The café is a great place for area residents to work from home or meet with colleagues and friends. Students are welcome to study here, and clubs are welcome to use Goodness Bowls for their meeting spot.”
