Inspired by the national phenomenon Drag Queen Story Hour, this event “captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.
In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real. LGBTQ-positive programs like DQSH are a vital part of making the world a safe and affirming place for all children. LGBTQ children need role models, and all children should learn to embrace gender diversity and learn empathy.”
Join drag queen Summer Clearance as she reads stories of inclusion, diversity, and acceptance. Plus enjoy fun activities run by Ursinus students. DQSH is designed for children aged 3–8.
