Main Street Survey

It's Your Main Street!

As we work towards the revitalization of Main Street, we have learned that the word “revitalization” means different things to different people.

In the 1970s, the National Trust Main Street Center developed its pioneering Main Street approach to commercial district revitalization, calling it “an innovative methodology that combines historic preservation with economic development to restore prosperity and vitality to downtowns and neighborhood business districts.”  It's a worthy goal for Collegeville businesses and residents who want a thriving, cultural, and fun downtown.

But we want to know what you think. Here is a short, five - question survey.  It will only take a few minutes to respond and your answers are important.

We want to know:

What types of businesses would you like to see on Main Street?

Can you name three types of stores that you think would do well on Main Street
(not including restaurants)?

Can you name three restaurants (or types of restaurants) that you would like to see on Main Street?

What towns do you travel to in order to shop or dine?

Do you take advantage of the arts, sports, or other programs offered by Ursinus?
