Collegeville
Main Street Program
to Unveil
State Farm Good Neighbors Curbside Appeal Program
On Friday, June 11, representatives of State Farm presented
the Collegeville Main Street Program (CMSP) with a check in the
amount of $3,500 to be used for the State Farm Good Neighbors Curbside
Appeal Program. The Good Neighbors Program was developed
by the Collegeville Main Street Program (CMSP) Design Committee
to compliment the Façade Challenge Program already in operation.
The Good Neighbors Program will allow property and business
owners within the designated Main Street District to receive a
matching grant up to $500 to improve their curbside spaces with
hardscaping or landscaping. Similar to the Façade
Challenge Program, owners will need to submit an application along
with plans and quotes, and the Design Committee will need to approve
any plans before work begins.
Larry Hoak, State Farm agent located on Main Street in Collegeville
is pleased that State Farm is able to assist with the revitalization
of Collegeville. “State
Farm is committed to meeting the needs of our communities and part of that is
helping neighborhoods and local businesses prosper. To us, being a good
neighbor is more than slogan, it is our business. We are honored to be
a part of this wonderful Main Street program and look forward to a continued
and successful partnership.”
“This is a wonderful opportunity for property and business owners
to improve the overall look of the property. Not only can owners receive
up to $5000 for projects relating to the facade of the building, now they can
also receive money for projects in front of their buildings or in their front
yard,” says Debbie Riegner, Design Committee Chairperson.
