Enjoy an afternoon of German food, libations and fun at the Collegeville/Trappe’s Oktoberfest Celebration Oct. 15! The event, which runs from 2 to 6 p.m., is located across from the Trappe Shopping Center on the Speaker’s House grounds at 151 W. Main Street, Trappe, PA.
Guests will enjoy specialty beers and a wine tasting from the vineyards of Stone and Key Cellars, along with handmade German sausages from Freeland Market, hearty fall soup, pretzels, and more. For dessert, guests will take part in a Pie Palooza tasting contest of unlimited homemade pie. Tickets are $30, $20 for those aged 12 to 20 and for designated drivers. For children aged 6 to 12, tickets are $10; free admission for children under 6. Entertainment includes a German band, a Revolutionary war enactment and colonial kids’ games, along with guided behind-the-scene tours of the Frederick Muhlenberg house which is undergoing restoration, and its beautiful Pennsylvania German kitchen garden.
